Jeg er netop vendt hjem fra \u00e5rets Operation Julepakke, og jeg har skrevet et blogindl\u00e6g om mine og teamets oplevelser.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I \u00e5r foregik Operation Julepakke i Brooke\u2019s Point p\u00e5 det sydlige Palawan. Vores team bestod af Belinda og mig fra vores kontor i K\u00f8benhavn, Annie og Eva fra vores kontor i Aarhus, Jan og Lars, der er gode venner af huset, Aileene fra vores kontor i Manila, hendes veninde Pia (ja, det kan man alts\u00e5 godt hedde i Filippinerne), Aileenes lillebror JP og hans barndomsven AJ. Her stod den p\u00e5 bambushytter, sovesal, intet rindende vand og kun \u00e9t rigtigt toilet. V\u00e6ggene bestod af myggenet, og det regnede lidt ind p\u00e5 Annie om natten. Men man m\u00e5 jo lide for at hj\u00e6lpe i verden! Omgivelserne var virkelig smukke og gr\u00f8nne med gr\u00e6ssende okser i vejsiden, hvide traner i v\u00e5de rismarker, jungle med lianer og overgroede tr\u00e6er og disede bjerge i det fjerne. De er h\u00e6vet fra jorden p\u00e5 p\u00e6le, s\u00e5 de ikke bliver oversv\u00f8mmet, n\u00e5r der er monsun. De har kun \u00e9t rum, og enkelte har et \u201dk\u00f8kken\u201d best\u00e5ende af et par gryder direkte p\u00e5 jorden og et b\u00e5l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi skulle rundt og hilse p\u00e5 alle familierne og vurdere, om de kunne tage vare p\u00e5 en ged. I \u00e5r skulle vi nemlig dele geder ud \u2013 foruden julepakker og leget\u00f8j. Det er noget, vi g\u00f8r for at kunne hj\u00e6lpe mere langsigtet. Det s\u00e6tter virkelig tingene i perspektiv at se, hvordan folk bor her. Jeg hilste p\u00e5 en mand p\u00e5 100 \u00e5r, der sad sammen med sin kone p\u00e5 et sivgulv. Han mente ikke, at han kunne passe en ged, selvom han altid havde \u00f8nsket sig en. Hans kone daskede til ham og sagde, at den skulle hun nok tage sig af \u2013 hun tog sig jo alligevel af ham \u2013 og hans glade tandl\u00f8se smil, ved udsigten til endelig at f\u00e5 en ged, var virkelig hjerteligt. Vi m\u00f8dte en pige p\u00e5 14 \u00e5r, der boede sammen med sin far og sin datter p\u00e5 9 m\u00e5neder. De havde ikke andet familie, og hun var allerede selv mor. Nogle sk\u00e6bner g\u00f8r bare indtryk! Vi gik fra hytte til hytte, og b\u00f8rnene fulgte med os. I starten var de meget generte \u2013 her har de aldrig f\u00f8r set hvide mennesker, og de kommer sj\u00e6ldent ind til byen. Hvis overhovedet. Flere af dem t\u00e6ller slet ikke i f\u00f8dselsdage, s\u00e5 de anede ikke, hvor gamle de var. Det var utroligt at opleve. Jeg var ved at falde i s\u00f8vn bag p\u00e5 motorcyklen p\u00e5 vej tilbage, og jeg faldt i s\u00f8vn to gange under maden. Sj\u00e6ldent har jeg v\u00e6ret s\u00e5 tr\u00e6t!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">En helt utrolig gl\u00e6de<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e6ste dag tog vi tilbage til landsbyen, og alle stod klar til at tage imod os. De havde forberedt en danseopvisning, og de virkede utroligt glade for at se os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi skulle dele geder ud til familierne, men vi havde ogs\u00e5 leget\u00f8j med til b\u00f8rnene. Det var fantastisk at se dem lege med leget\u00f8jet fra det sekund, de fik det i h\u00e6nderne. Det er virkelig stort for dem at f\u00e5 et godt stykke leget\u00f8j \u2013 bamser og bolde var klart mest popul\u00e6re! Hun tog Evas h\u00e5nd og takkede hende dybf\u00f8lt fra hjertet. Hendes b\u00f8rn havde altid \u00f8nsket sig en ged, og de var virkelig lykkelige \u2013 hun takkede os for, at hun nu kunne give sine b\u00f8rn en gl\u00e6de, som hun ellers ikke ville v\u00e6re i stand til at give dem. Jeg tror, at vi alle havde en klump i halsen bagefter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi m\u00f8dte ogs\u00e5 en kvinde med ni b\u00f8rn, der lige havde mistet sin mand. Hun var dybt taknemmelig over, at hun kunne give sine b\u00f8rn m\u00e6lk og m\u00e5ske ogs\u00e5 k\u00f8d &#8211; og at vi havde leget\u00f8j med til hendes mindste b\u00f8rn. Vi valgte at give hende en af de gravide geder. Hun havde brug for lidt medgang, syntes vi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Da skoleb\u00f8rnene kom fra skole, udfordrede Jan dem til en divisionskonkurrence. B\u00f8rnene var skarpe, og Jan endte med at give is til alle 32 b\u00f8rn. 32 is kostede 40 kr.!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leget\u00f8j og smil fra hjertet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Det, der gjorde mest indtryk, var helt klart b\u00f8rnene! Det f\u00f8les som en lille og un\u00f8dvendig ting at have leget\u00f8j med \u2013 men den gl\u00e6de, det bringer med sig, er helt fantastisk! T\u00e6nk at f\u00e5 et stykke leget\u00f8j ind i sit hjem, n\u00e5r man intet ejer. Gl\u00e6den er S\u00c5 stor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi gik meget op i, at b\u00f8rnene selv skulle v\u00e6lge deres leget\u00f8j. For\u00e6ldrene m\u00e5tte ikke g\u00f8re det for dem. Det skulle nemlig ikke v\u00e6re et valg baseret p\u00e5 leget\u00f8jets v\u00e6rdi. Det skulle v\u00e6re en ting, som barnet selv \u00f8nskede at have. De gik efter bolde, bamser og st\u00e6rke farver. Man forst\u00e5r dem godt. Afsted til lageret, hvor vi skulle l\u00e6sse flere hundrede riss\u00e6kke, julepakker med mad og kasser med leget\u00f8j p\u00e5 lastbilerne. Den landsby husker jeg n\u00e6sten allerbedst. Vi blev tidligt f\u00e6rdige i landsbyen forinden, og vi havde stadig julepakker og leget\u00f8j til overs, s\u00e5 vi tog p\u00e5 surprise-bes\u00f8g til en landsby. Folk var s\u00e5 overv\u00e6ldede og fulde af smil. De takkede os, \u00f8nskede os gl\u00e6delig jul og grinede bredt til os. Vi stod der blandt rismarkerne og delte ud til dem, og de sang \u201dWe wish you a merry christmas\u201d for os. Vi m\u00e5tte lyse med lommelygter p\u00e5 leget\u00f8jet for at kunne se det til sidst. Der var kamp om bruserne! Vi var indsmurt i sved, myggespray og gammel solcreme med mudder i h\u00e5ret og gammel risst\u00f8v alle vegne. Aldrig har jeg v\u00e6ret s\u00e5 ul\u00e6kker i hele mit liv! Mango-shaken til aftensmaden reddede aftenen, og vi gik tidligt i seng hver dag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeg arbejder jo i marketingafdelingen, s\u00e5 jeg instagrammede fra sengen om aftenen. Jeg m\u00e5 indr\u00f8mme, at jeg faldt i s\u00f8vn indimellem, mens jeg lagde stories op. Men I kan se dem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/cctraveldanmark\/\">her<\/a> i vores h\u00f8jdepunkt &#8220;Julepakke&#8221; \u2013 med tr\u00e6thedsfejl og det hele!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;In a little minute&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Noget, vi blev gode til, var ventetiden. Det kan godt tage tid at f\u00e5 styr p\u00e5 to vans, en kv\u00e6gtransport med geder og en lastbil fuld af ris og leget\u00f8j. K\u00f8ret\u00f8jer punkterer og k\u00f8rer fast i mudder, og ja \u2013 p\u00e5 et tidspunkt forsvandt vores lastbil med geder i flere timer. \u201dIn a little minute!\u201d fik vi at vide, n\u00e5r vi spurgte til lastbilen. De takkede os hver og en, n\u00e5r de havde valgt deres leget\u00f8j. De var s\u00e5 taknemmelige, respektfulde og ydmyge, at det r\u00f8rte en helt ind i hjertet. De sang for os, og de ville gerne vise os deres klassev\u00e6relser. Vi blev inviteret til frokost p\u00e5 l\u00e6rerv\u00e6relset af et hold s\u00f8de og glade l\u00e6rerinder, der var S\u00c5 glade for, at vi var der. Jamen alts\u00e5 hvor var det vildt! De forklarede, at b\u00f8rnene her var s\u00e5 fattige, at det stykke leget\u00f8j n\u00e6rmest ville \u00e6ndre deres hverdag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00e6nk, at et stykke leget\u00f8j kan g\u00f8re s\u00e5 stor en forskel! Det var noget af en kontrast fra dagene forinden. Manila Hotel har lysekroner og en pianist siddende i lobbyen. Jeg fik helt d\u00e5rlig samvittighed, n\u00e5r jeg vidste, hvordan folk boede ude i landsbyen, og at jeg nu skulle hjem til Danmark til en jul fuld af un\u00f8dvendigt forbrug og en overflod af penge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det var en sv\u00e6r beslutning for mig at rejse fra min 3-\u00e5rige datter i otte dage. Det er frivilligt arbejde, s\u00e5 vi bruger ferie p\u00e5 det, og for mig bet\u00f8d det, at jeg ofrede tid sammen med min datter. Men det var det hele v\u00e6rd! Sidste \u00e5r giftede jeg mig i Seychellerne og tog p\u00e5 en rundrejse i Sri Lanka, som vi kombinerede med Maldivernes helt vilde bountystrande med en stopover i Dubai til sidst. Jeg har ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 k\u00f8r selv-ferie i Cuba og drukket rom (alts\u00e5 ikke mens vi k\u00f8rte), r\u00f8get cigarer, set salsashow i stemningsfyldte byer og badet p\u00e5 l\u00e6kre caribiske strande. Thailand har jeg bes\u00f8gt tre gange, s\u00e5 jeg kender Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Pha Ngan, Koh Chang og Kod Kood ud og ind. N\u00e6ste gang jeg rejser til Thailand, vil jeg gerne til nogle mindre og lidt uturistede \u00f8er. Mit hjerte tilh\u00f8rer dog Filippinerne! Jeg har v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 Coco Beach to gange med 10 \u00e5rs mellemrum, og jeg er alts\u00e5 stadig vild med stedet. Jeg ved, hvor mange banansorter, der findes i Sri Lanka. Jeg kan godt fort\u00e6lle jer, at med mit job er man god til geografi-sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5lene i Trivial Pursuit! Jeg har naturligvis ogs\u00e5 rejst meget. Sidste \u00e5r giftede jeg mig i Seychellerne og tog p\u00e5 en rundrejse i Sri Lanka, som vi kombinerede med Maldivernes helt vilde bountystrande med en stopover i Dubai til sidst. Jeg har ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 k\u00f8r selv-ferie i Cuba og drukket rom (alts\u00e5 ikke mens vi k\u00f8rte), r\u00f8get cigarer, set salsashow i stemningsfyldte byer og badet p\u00e5 l\u00e6kre caribiske strande. Thailand har jeg bes\u00f8gt tre gange, s\u00e5 jeg kender Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Pha Ngan, Koh Chang og Kod Kood ud og ind. N\u00e6ste gang jeg rejser til Thailand, vil jeg gerne til nogle mindre og lidt uturistede \u00f8er. Mit hjerte tilh\u00f8rer dog Filippinerne! Jeg har v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 Coco Beach to gange med 10 \u00e5rs mellemrum, og jeg er alts\u00e5 stadig vild med stedet.
