Jeg er netop kommet hjem fra \u00e5rets Operation Julepakke.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I \u00e5r foregik Operation Julepakke i Rizal p\u00e5 den sydvestlige del af Palawan. Rizal ligger en k\u00f8retur p\u00e5 ca. 5 timer fra lufthavnen, Puerto Princesa. Omr\u00e5det er fyldt med floder, t\u00e6t og frodig skov og her er en unik flora og fauna. Det lyder jo egentligt meget eksotisk og l\u00e6kkert, men det er ogs\u00e5 hjemsted for mange fattige landsbyer og de mange nomadestammer, der lever i bjergene. Da vores kollega Aileene bes\u00f8gte omr\u00e5det, gjorde det s\u00e6rligt stort indtryk p\u00e5 hende, hvor fattige de er. Her er det for eksempel helt normalt kun at spise et m\u00e5ltid om dagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c5rets danske team bestod af Eva fra vores kontor i Aarhus, Line og mig fra kontoret i K\u00f8benhavn, Jan og Lars, der er gode venner af huset og Camilla, som er rejsejournalist. De vigtigste b\u00e6rende kr\u00e6fter, var dog det filippinske team, som igen i \u00e5r bestod af Aileene fra vores kontor i Manila, hendes veninde Pia, Aileenes lillebror JP og hans barndomsven AJ. Det vil alts\u00e5 sige, at vi b\u00e5de har kunnet hj\u00e6lpe nye familier med en ged, men ogs\u00e5 har hjulpet familier fra sidste \u00e5r, ved at k\u00f8be en af deres geder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Som du kan se p\u00e5 billedet, havde vi en hel masse bagage med. Vi har nemlig v\u00e6ret s\u00e5 heldige at f\u00e5 doneret en masse t\u00f8j, som vi ogs\u00e5 kunne dele ud til familierne. Omgivelserne var virkelig smukke med h\u00f8je palmetr\u00e6er, gr\u00f8nne rismarker, gr\u00e6ssende okser og overgroede tr\u00e6er. Palawans natur er simpelthen s\u00e5 gr\u00f8n og frodig! Hytterne er h\u00e6vet fra jorden p\u00e5 p\u00e6le, s\u00e5 de kommer v\u00e6k fra den mudrede jordbund n\u00e5r der regner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ofte er der kun \u00e9t eller to rum, men der er alts\u00e5 ingen d\u00f8r imellem rummene. Hvis der er et \u201dk\u00f8kken\u201d i hytten, er det ofte et lille ildsted med en enkelt gryde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Et kig indenfor<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi fik lov til at kigge indenfor i nogle af hytterne. Og hold da op. Det s\u00e6tter virkelig tingene i perspektiv at se hvordan de bor her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi bes\u00f8gte en familie, hvor der sad en h\u00f8jgravid kvinde, hun ventede sit 9. barn. Hun fortalte, at de bor for langt fra hospitalet, s\u00e5 f\u00f8dslen foreg\u00e5r hjemme i hytten. Jeg kunne ikke lade v\u00e6re med at kigge ind p\u00e5 gulvet og t\u00e6nke \u201dBare lige d\u00e9r? Flere steder havde de forberedt en rigtig fin velkomst med musik og dans. En af pigerne spillede for os p\u00e5 en hjemmelavet guitar med to strenge. Hun var meget dygtig, og meget glad for at kunne vise sit talent frem for os. Den f\u00f8rste dag s\u00e5 vi ogs\u00e5 en mand fra bjergene puste til m\u00e5ls med en pil gennem et langt r\u00f8r. Her havde de nemlig lavet en fin str\u00e5hat til hende, som hun selvf\u00f8lgelig skulle have p\u00e5 hele dagen. De var alle sammen meget taknemmelige og glade. Nogle familier (bjergfolket) havde s\u00e5gar vandret i 6-7 timer for at komme ned til os. Vi m\u00f8dte familier som ikke ejede andet end det t\u00f8j de kom i, s\u00e5 det at kunne give dem nyt t\u00f8j, og b\u00f8rnene kunne f\u00e5 deres f\u00f8rste stykke leget\u00f8j, var en k\u00e6mpe oplevelse. Han er 100 \u00e5r gammel og er turistguide i landsbyen. Han var simpelthen s\u00e5 taknemmelig for, at vi var kommet og havde valgt hans landsby. B\u00e5de p\u00e5 Palawan men ogs\u00e5 alle andre steder vi kom \u2013 selv i Manila, sagde folk tak for, at vi hj\u00e6lper i de fattige landsbyer og bjergfolket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>En hjertevarm gl\u00e6de<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Det allerst\u00f8rste for mig var at se b\u00f8rnenes utrolige gl\u00e6de over at f\u00e5 et stykke leget\u00f8j, for mange deres f\u00f8rste. Vi talte blandt andet med en pige p\u00e5 18 \u00e5r, som fortalte, at det var hendes allerf\u00f8rste stykke leget\u00f8j.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der gik ikke mange minutter fra, at b\u00f8rnene havde f\u00e5et leget\u00f8jet, til at det var pakket ud og taget i brug. Bamserne blev krammet, bilerne blev trukket afsted, og boldene var hurtigt taget i spil blandt alle aldre. I Filippinerne er basketball folkets sport, s\u00e5 boldene var et k\u00e6mpe hit. Jan og Lars var da heller ikke blege for lige at tage en lille basketballkamp, inden vi skulle videre. Derfor k\u00f8rte vi til den lokale skole. Faktisk var det den skole, hvor vores chauff\u00f8rs b\u00f8rn g\u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det var en helt s\u00e6rlig oplevelse! De havde ingen id\u00e9 om, at vi ville komme, s\u00e5 alle b\u00f8rnene l\u00f8b til vinduerne i klasselokalerne og kiggede ud i skoleg\u00e5rden. Vi startede med de helt sm\u00e5 elever i b\u00f8rnehaveklasserne, og s\u00e5 ellers opefter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi var n\u00f8dt til at bede nogle af l\u00e6rerinderne fra de \u00e6ldre klasser om at tage deres elever med tilbage til klasselokalerne, da vi ikke var sikre p\u00e5, at vi havde nok bolde til alle. Vi var lidt nerv\u00f8se for deres reaktion, men der var ingen sure miner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heldigvis viste det sig, at vi havde flere bolde tilbage, og eleverne kom l\u00f8bende tilbage. Vi blev m\u00f8dt af k\u00e6mpe smil, de var s\u00e5 taknemmelige, respektfulde og alle sagde \u201dThank you po\u201d. Selvom hytterne var sm\u00e5, s\u00e5 havde vi eget badev\u00e6relse og stor seng. Der var ikke nogen restaurant eller mulighed for selv at lave mad p\u00e5 resortet, s\u00e5 vi havde f\u00e5et en kok ud til os, som kunne st\u00e5 for m\u00e5ltiderne. Derfor havde vi den sidste aften inviteret dem over til resortet, hvor de fik udleveret en ged og b\u00f8rnene fik et stykke leget\u00f8j. Jeg var overbevist om, at det ville blive en k\u00e6mpe oplevelse, og det kan jeg kun bekr\u00e6fte! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det har b\u00e5de v\u00e6ret sp\u00e6ndende, h\u00e5rdt, hjertesk\u00e6rende men samtidig ogs\u00e5 en meget hjertevarm oplevelse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C&amp;C Hj\u00e6lpeprogrammer er en frivillig organisation \u2013 og alle os, som har v\u00e6ret med, er frivillige og bruger egen ferie p\u00e5 det.
